A point of interest… Anybody conducting a web search for Kipor generators, may come across reports of Honda, seizing a European distributors entire stock of Kipor generators and destroying them, citing patent infringement.
The legal issues regarding this seizure have been resolved and Kipor generators continue to be sold, legally, throughout the EU and many other countries.
A look at Hondas version of these compact ‘suitcase’ generators and particularly, their pricing of the unit, may go someway to explaining their irritation with Kipor. A Honda site showing a comparable unit can be found here, the price is at the very bottom, look carefully… Here are a few other examples, all of these are 1Kva with the exception of the 2Kva units bottom left and right.
